What we collect
SalamDFW collects anonymous usage data to understand how the app and website are used. This includes:
- Product interactions — which screens you visit, which event types you browse, and which events you tap.
- Install-scoped device ID — a randomly generated identifier stored only on your device. It is used solely to de-duplicate analytics sessions and is never linked to your name, email, or any personal account.
We do not collect your name, email, location, contacts, or any other personal information through the app unless you voluntarily submit an event (in which case your contact email is used only for review communication and is never displayed publicly).
How we use it
Analytics data is used exclusively to improve SalamDFW — to understand which event types are most useful, which features are used, and where the experience can be improved. We do not sell, share, or monetize any data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Opt out
On the mobile app, you can disable analytics at any time via Settings → Share Usage Analytics. When disabled, no data is sent. You can also reset your device ID at any time from the same screen, which unlinks any future usage from your past sessions.
Data retention
Analytics data is retained for up to 12 months and then automatically deleted. The install-scoped device ID exists only on your device and is removed when you uninstall the app or reset it in Settings.
Third parties
We use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics platform, to process usage data. Umami does not use cookies and does not track users across websites. No other third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services are used.
